Well I like the Sex Pistols album as much as any single Clash album probably, however, the Clash had multiple great albums whereas the Pistols only had one great album, so I'd have to go with the Clash for that reason!.
And the Sex Pistols were NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOTNOTNOT manufactured! It's absolute bull ****! Malcolm McLaren started that rumor entirely for the purpose of making it look like he created punk! That's the ONLY reason that rumor was started, it's simply not true in the least!. They were already starting a band without Malcolm, they just met Rotten in his store!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like both!. But I like The Clash a lot more!. Both were excellent in their genres!. The Sex Pistols are Classic Punk, highly original and groundbreaking!. The Clash built a body of some of the most original and powerful songs of the post-punk era!. Songs that have stood the test of time and still sound fresh and vibrant today!.

I like them both but you have to go with the Clash!.!.!. The Pistols might have ignited a fire, but it also consumed them!. The Clash actually have a career and a body of work!. I don't know what we could have expected from the Sex Pistols if they had made records for 25+ years!.!.!. they never had a chance!. Never Mind the Bollocks was the sound that started a musical revolution!.!.!. You can't take that away from them, but many people consider "London Calling" to be among the best recordings in the history of Rock!.!. The Clash win this one!.!.!.

Both of them are insanely awesome but I'm going with the Clash!. I know it's unfair, but the Clash put out so much more music than the Sex Pistols, and most of it was higher quality material!. Still, Sex Pistols rule; "God Save The Queen," "Holiday In The Sun" and "Anarchy In The U!.K!." all turned me on to punk rock; if I hadn't heard the Sex Pistols, I'd never have heard the Clash!.

for me the clash are the greatest band ever !.!.!. many people rate london calling as the greatest ever album!.!. but i rate it as 3rd!.!. behind give em enough rope and my fave album ever which is by another band
