Which of the 2 era's was the best and say why!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
I can't really compare the two!. They both have their place in music history!.

I prefer Glam/Hair Metal for sure!. That was the pre-Tipper Gore days!. Bands were so crazy and the music was so care-free!. Not to mention there were awesome guitar riffs!. Glam/Hair Metal is more than just a style of music, It's a lifestyle!. Man, I never partied so hard!

Grunge is kind of depressing!. It tells of the darker things of life!. The defunct and saddened state the world became!. Although it did change the landscape of music!.

Every genre of music has a place and reason in rock history!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Sorry, but I have to go with the 80's!. Some of it is pure nostalgia, because those were my teen years, but there were actually quite a few great guitarists who came out of that genre!. The music may have been all about sex, and partying, but it was fun, and I still enjoy listening to it today!. Those guys seemed to truly enjoy entertaining, and to appreciate the fans!.

This is not to say there weren't good grunge acts, but, all in all it spawned some really bad imitators, and when I listen to it now, I can see that more than ever!. also, I just can't get behind the whole poor me, I am famous, and it sucks whiny routine!. Obviously, you signed a record deal for a reason!. I doubt it was to tell the masses how much you hate your existence!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's hard, you'r egonna get more people who say Grunge is best because alot of people don't like Hair metal, but I'm one of the weirdos who loves glam and hair metal, so I'm gonna say that because of the superior instrumental work (i!.e!. more talented drummers, MUCH more talented guitarists, though alot of really good singers came out of the grunge era), though the Grunge era was deeper as far as songwriting and meaning and better songwriters overall!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love the hair metal scene from the late 80s!.!.that's when it was the best! By then, many new bands like Winger, Skid Row, Steelheart, Firehouse, and Slaughter were making their debut!. also, Whitesnake's best album came out in 1987!. Many hair metal bands survived into the early 90s, but were slowly being killed by grunge until they pretty much all died out!.

Believe it or not, some hair metal bands were actually selling out to grunge a little bit in their later years!. Listen to Skid Row's 1995 album and you'll hear what I mean!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Glam!!! Glam had so much variety, there were happy feelgood tunes, angry get out of my way songs, sweet mellow love ballads, and depressing break up songs!. There was just so much variety in that genre, whereas, grunge really didn't have all too much variety!. I'm not saying grunge was bad, because I LOVE grunge too!.!.!. but you didn't exactly hear many of those "Get up and dance" songs or ballads!.

And as far as the styles go, I definitely like glam a lot better!. I must admit, I sport the big 80's hair, I have a pair of leather pants, I wear excessive amounts of makeup!.!.!. I just love how the guys looked back then too! However, I also like the grunge style!.!.!. to some extent!.!.!. I think guys with long hair rock! ;DWww@Enter-QA@Com

well, I'm a child of the 80's so I gotta go with that!.

The grunge scene made me crazy, bunch of rich kids wearing flannel shirts and crying about how much they hate themselves didn't do it for me!. If you don't wanna be famous, don't sign a record deal, makes sense to me!?

Both eras had some really good things and really bad things to go along though!.

Both are EXCELLENT!!! If you find the right groups!. I PREFER grunge just because of the unpolished sound, but both have excellent music and groups!. Neither of them was best!.

However! Both are better by themselves than today's popular music is when multiplied!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nirvana and Alice in Chains are both great but hair metal was so full of energy and many successful bands came onto the scene during that time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hair Metal dudes!!!!!!. The drums, the guitars aahh everything about it is so full of energy!!!!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Grunge!. It's just deeper and more legendary!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Grunge because they put feeling and effort into their music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Grunge for sure!. The music was much more original and meaningful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
