Some people are just ignorant and think that only new things can be cool!. I've seen people come in here just to say that classic country is just for old people!. lol!. They have no idea!. I've also seen people come in here saying they wish that their station would play more of the "classic" stuff like Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, and Shania Twain!. Since when is that classic!? That's who most of the pop artists that are into country list as their idol!. They don't know who a lot of COUNTRY artists are!. Its sad!.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Last one for today!? You're the only one asking anything interesting!

I love classic country, even though I grew up on rock and roll!. I love the steel guitar and fiddles are gorgeous!.

The one thing I don't like is songs like "Stand By Your Man!." I realize it was a culturally different time then, but a lot of the songs by women are depressingly codependent tunes reflecting their secondary status in life!. I'm a ridiculously independent career-focused person so lyrics such as that bother me!.

But things like "I Fall to Pieces," "Faded Love" and "Walking After Midnight" are absolutely wonderful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

all the women sound alike!. i can not tell them apart!.

what I miss about the old country, you knew who they were before the first line of the song!. You can not do that today!. Too many songs start the same way now!.

I miss the steel guitar There is NOTHING before 1985 that I do not like about country music!. Give me the classics anytime compared to modern day music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

For some reason, it is just not as accessible to me!. I love the music!. I just don't really feel too moved by much of it!. The exceptions are typically the songs that have survived to be played on mainstream stations today, so they must have some element of timelessness that enables them to reach people living in the 21st century!.

So I guess my answer is none of the above!. The steel guitar and fiddles are great!. And twang doesn't bother me!.!.!. Reba McEntire is plenty twangy and she's one of my top two favorite country ladies!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Honestly, I never heard much old country growing up!. I was born in 1990, so I heard all the things on the radio at the time, like Brooks and Dunn and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and all those!. I think that traditional country is good, what little I have heard of it (like Stand By Your Man)!. So, I just listen to today's country music because that's what is on the radio!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was raised on the old country, I love it!. I love when I hear one of the older songs come on it instantly brings back my childhood memories!. I don't Hate today's country!. I think like all things it has just evolved to what people want to hear!. Unfortunately, I don't think that the good ol country would sell the way the newer stuff does and the record companies and promoters are all about the all mighty dollar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love older country!. When looking at today's country, there are only a few artists I'm drawn to, such as Gary Allan!. Of course, he has a more traditional sound that other artists today have not adopted!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Today's music is Pop, not real Country!. Country is a way of life, those impersonating city folks trying to pass of as something they are not!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like everything about old country!. I hate new country!. It's pop!. It sucks!. Everything after like 2003!. Sucks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
