Can't some people appreciate recent works of them!?

I think if you are a true fan of a band you will appreciate any work they do!.!.!.!.early stuff and new stuff,I also think that one of the main reasons some bands earlier albums sold so well was because these bands were alot fresher and younger and had more to give lyrically but in my opinion they are not overrated they are what they are and that is a fine piece of work!. \-/Www@Enter-QA@Com
That depends on a persons ear and how they perceive any given musician!. For example, I find Brian Johnson's voice to be grating - I much prefer Bon Scott because he doesn't sound as discordant!. also, I think that High Voltage was their best album because they experimented with a lot of different musical instruments on it that they didn't bother using on later albums!.
On the flip side, Megadeth who is my favorite Thrash band, in my own opinions put out albums now that are just as good as the early ones!. I own every Megadeth album - including Warchest and all the greatest hits compilations - and I find United Abominations to be a great album!.
It's all in how it strikes the individual - there is no right and wrong to it really!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well some bands' early music is better than their newer stuff!. For example take Metallica, their first 5 albums were amazing!. But all their albums after that were terrible because they tried to change what they were doing, credit to them of they had changed their style up a bit and had make good music but the music was not very good!.
Whereas some bands that I like, such as Dream Theater and Opeth have consistently made solid albums that are all different in one way or another!.

I think because very often if a band comes out with an album that becomes very popular, albums after that will be compared to the first, so it's used as a marker for everything else they release!.

One reason first and early albums are liked more than others is the fact that the band!.spent years fine tuning thermaterialal!. If they have a hit!. they get 6 months to repeat what had taken years the first time!. Not all bands fall into this hole though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
