I don't know that you could call one or the other better!. There were some very talented "old" artists, just as there are some very talented "new" ones!. It all boils down to what you prefer!. I happen to like the old stuff better!.

This is opinion question, and will be asked for as long as people listen to country music!. I personally prefer country music prior to the 1990's!. There are a couple of current country singers I like, however in general I like Classic Country!. Hard to narrow down to just one favorite country song:
