Question: A Question, Mainly for the Youth!?
Okay you guys, I really need a good answer here!. Most of you, I'm assuming most of you, are under 18, I'm not, but your opinion is what I need right now!. I'm getting ready to record here, and I need to know what kind of music are you drawn to!? And how do you hear this new music!? For instance, if you are totally obsessed with the Jonas Brothers (which most kids are nowadays), where did you first hear them!? Radio, TV!? Fill me in you guys, anything helps!. My main point of this is how to figure out where to market myself!. Plus do you watch more TV during the summer or the school year!? Thanks you guys!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am drawn to many different types of music!. Some of my favorites are symphonic power metal, gothic metal, several types of darkwave (particularly neoclassical), some folk metal, some doom metal, um let's see!. I like a lot of industrial music but I haven't yet familiarized myself to be sure of the subgenres!.

I like metal and its not mainstream lol, im 14 and I love iron maiden (favorite band), dio, judas priest, and sabbath and classic metal like that, thrash metal is awsome with metallica's first 4 albums, megadeth, testament, slayer, and overkill, and exodus, melodeath is awsome too, arch enemy and the haunted are good, power and progressive metal is good too, people say dragonforce suck but they rock, kamelot, manowar, nightwish, dream theater, and blind gaurdian!. Groove metal is awsome like lamb of god, pantera, and white zombie!. Classic rock is also good, Pink Floyd, The who, ect!. But yea most of the youth love mallcore bands that cant even pull off a solo, but yea thats just me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It depends what kind of audience you want!. If you want people to like your band because their friends do, advertise on TV, make yourself radio friendly, and change your sound to suit the masses!.
If you want us to like your band because you tell us the truth for once in our lives, if you want us to respect you and your music you should just play as many shows as possible, spread the word orally, pass out fliers, send myspace links, and PLAY AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE!.

i like, well i dont know how to explain it, im pretty eceltic, i like the whole grant lee buffalo, wilco, belle & sebastian thing!. and then i really love the earlier Beatles albums, and music like that
then i can totally be random whatt what i like, such as random 80s pop songs and such

Im mostly drawn to bands with a fresh sound and good lyrics!.
I check out band's myspace pages, and the only radio station that i really listen to is Z100 for pop/R&B groups!. I also like bands from the 90s, such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Metallica!.!.!.you get the picture!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Just so you know, us Youth in here wouldn't dare listen to the Jonas Brothers, we all listen to good music mainly!. We hear it from our parents, and well!.!. on here!

I'm drawn to bands that sound good to me and can play their instruments well!. I don't listen to new music much!. Mostly late 80's and 90's music!. I hear my music from anywhere!. Friends (they also like good music), games, myspace, websites, etc!.

I first hear music on itunes, I like bands where the singers can Actually sing!.!.!.shocking I know, but some bands just can't!. I watch more TV during the summer!.

I'm 14 and I don't think you should do music for the sake of being popular!. Just play what you like!. But to answer your question, I listen mostly to rock/metal so I am pretty different from most of the kids out there!.!.!. I like bands like Santana, Nirvana, Metallica, Ensiferum, Children of Bodom, Led Zeppelin and many others!.!.!. My taste is diverse so I also listen to a bit of electro, jazz, blues and rap and I don't mind the time when it was done!. I have heard of most of my bands through Yahoo R&P, iTunes and friends!.

theirs 2 groups of popular kids at my school-
the preps and the more rebelious punk but still popular!.
preps listen more to bubblegum pop stuff!.
rebelious punk (thats were i fit in) alternative rock, hip hop!. and techno!.
mostly anything on itune top 50 and trl!.
now the losers at my school!? THEY listen to the disney crap!.
