REALLY love country music, REAL country music, can't enjoy this sight as a place to ask & answer questions!? There is too much petty play by jokers & kids who ask non-country questions or just make smart aleck remarks!. If they don't like the music & the format, why not go elsewhere!?

Answer: the only version I've heard of it is Richard Thompson's on "Rumor and Sigh!." Richard Thompson, though a rock singer/songwriter (and one of the greatest guitarists the genre has ever known), did write "Tear-Stained Letter," which was first a hit by Jo-El Sonnier then by Patty Loveless!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
