white people dont know how to make music!. wait let me re-phrase that, i dont want people to misinterpret what im sayin!. alright here, white people dont know how to invent a genre of music!. like, if you look at the great music genres today (hip hop, rock & roll, soul, jazz etc!.), they were all invented by black people!. but then you look at genres that suck (metal, country, emo etc!.), they were all invented by white people!. im not saying that white people arent good musicians, but i have yet to find a good style of music that derived from white roots!.
but anyway, i guess my question is, why do you think this is!?
and i dont want a bunch of racist answers, or answers saying that I'M racist, because im not!. i also dont want alot of people insulting me just because i have different musical preferences as them!. First of all, you can't say that white people invented BAD genres because what is good an bad is a matter of opinion, which varies from person to person!. Maybe somebody likes emo music, or country music, and hates rap music!.
Second, and correct me if I'm mistaken, but aren't emo and country and metal subgenres of rock & roll (or at least I know emo and metal are)!?
Maybe the genres that you happen to like derive from black roots!. That's fine, but you can't say that all other music is BAD music!. It does make you come off as ignorant and judgemental!. I'm sure you didn't mean to, so I'm not going to start flaming you relentlessly!.
And just for good measure, how about punk rock music!? Stuff like the Clash, the Ramones, etc!. That comes from mostly white people, and I happen to think it is a good genre (my favorite, in fact)!. Whether or not you like it is your opinion, and nothing more!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
