I'm a shy person, so generally I won't add first!.
I have always added back, the people who have added me always have been really nice people and they all share a little of my musical taste!. I re-add based on if they're nice and I would add someone who doesn't have my musical taste if I think they're nice!. Same musical taste is good too, I mean, I don't want to have to sort through a lot of questions about a band I don't care for to get to see some other answers by my contact's about bands I like!. People don't add me first, I add them because no one likes me!. *tear* haha, Shreder and I have totally different music tastes, but we did a "make up" contacting!. He's cool!.

usualy if somebody adds me as a contact, the feeling is mutual!.
if i dont add somebody back, it's usually because i forgot to bother with it!. there's rarely (if ever) been a time i didn't add somebody back who has taken an interest in me!.

I don't add them when I get that e-mail from Y!A saying they've added me, instead I check my 'fans' about twice a month and add whoever I haven't already added as a contact!. I don't know why!.!. I'm just weird like that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Usually I add the people from R&P who add me!.
But sometimes I will see if they list their music tastes in their profile, and if it isn't similar (like if they like emo and pop) then I won't add them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I do a bit of background checking in their profile just to make sure I can trust the person adding me!. If I can, I add back!.
