Actually, I disagree, I love Plies music!. All he is doing is just talking about the everyday things that go/went on in his life, just like every other rapper does!. Honestly, I don't really rock with him cause his commercial music, the music he makes his money off of is really for the ladies, but his underground stuff is real hard and very political!. I DO NOT THINK IN THE LEAST BIT HE IS A DISGRACE TO HIP HOP for 2 main reasons!. One is because you can learn a lot from Plies!. His underground street records are very political!. They just come from a street, convicted felon's perspective, and if you don't understand that perspective, you won't be able to catch the gems and jewels that he gives out!. On top of that, the dude is very educated and eloquent!. If you ever heard or seen an interview, the dude doesnt even talk like raps!. He is very intellectual!.
2nd, when are people going to understand that individuality is the beautiful essence of hip hop!. You can't be a disgrace cause you don't follow a particular format! That's what makes hip hop hip hop!. But its crazy to call him a disgrace, though!. Listen to 100 years by Plies!. I would rather my kids listen to that than enything T!.I!. puts out now because look at how the two juxtapose the messages we send our kids!.
100 years chronicles the harsh injustices of the penal system and it's sentencing guidelines, painting a grim picture of what the real punishments of street life can be while T!.I!. (a 7 time felon) gets caught buying automatic assault rifles with silencers and gets a year defferred just to put out more songs about how money is everything and balling is expected!. That's not reality!. That's the disgrace!. Plies is one thing!. He's real!. And that's better than an artist that most people love cherish and put on a pedastal whose life is a symbol of how currency rules over justice!.
