It's not really supposed to be about anything REALLY specific!. But it is about a woman Dylan knew and wrote other songs about!. It's like "Told so *****!" when she goes through a terrible crash in her life and ends up on the street, she thought she was invincible!. And to certain point, the song is directed at the speaker as well!. It's really a song about loneliness, and I sing it whenever I get drunk!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
I believe this song is either about a woman who lived her whole life with money and prestige and one day she either realizes that all that money is worthless, or she loses that money somehow!. She always looked down on the poor people, but never took time to look at them objectively, and now she's one of them!.
