Which is harder to play, violin or cello? ?!
Question: Which is harder to play, violin or cello!? !?
Assuming equal amounts of motivation and application by the beginner, which do you think is harder, or which have you heard is generally considered more difficult!? Not that I'm trying to decide which to play: I already play one of these, and am just real curious about how it compares with the other!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

The cello is the more difficult instrument!.
Physically speaking, the cello is vastly more difficult to play!. It is harder to produce tone, harder to keep accurate intonation, harder to shift, harder to bow, harder to handle!. This is largely because of the player's position and the size of the instrument!. This makes it harder, especially for a beginner!.
The violin is less physically taxing to play, but the music written for it is generally more difficult!. Orchestral parts in particular; the first violins almost always have the hardest part in the ensemble!. Cellos come in a close second, especially in pieces that use the instrument's higher register and the tenor and treble clefs!.
So, in summation, although the violins play slightly more difficult music, the cello is more difficult to play (especially for a beginner, for whom the more difficult repertoire will not even be a concern)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There is difficult music for both instruments, but if you are talking about orchestral music, definitely violin!. Not only do they have the melody and counter-melody most of the time, but there are so many of them, you really have to work extra hard to even get into the orchestra!. As they say, violinists come a dime a dozen!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i believe they're both hard, but the violin is considered to b the most difficult of all instruments!. i play it!. practicing it is very painful most of the time and you need to be headstrong and ambitious and very patient to conquer it!. good luck~Www@Enter-QA@Com
violin is harder as the problems posed by it are PSYCHOLOGICAL and the sound beginners produce usually put them off practice as it just terrifies them on how something they heard was so gd turned out to be bad!.!.!.well!.!.!.like i said psychological problems!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Violin! Very hard, gets used a lot in songs and lots of hard notes to play!.
