That's tough because they have very different sounds!. Boston relied heavily on guitar and organ, and Chicago was big with their brass section!. Boston only put out four albums and Chicago has put out something like 18 (not sure how many)!. I love 'em both, but if I had to choose one over the other I'd pick Boston!. I think their first album is still one of the top 100 selling albums of all time!. Too bad lead singer Brad Delp passed away -- it's not Boston without him singing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Chicago's probably better in purely technical terms!.!.!.they're pretty competent musicians!.!.but they also wasted their legacy from the 70s with lots of treacly 80s soft rock ballads!.
Boston also has done some duds of late but they're not quite as embarrassing so I'll have to go with Boston overall!.
