The music scene is in dire need of another "Lonesome " Dave Peverett let alone Foghat!. Yeah sure Foghat is technically still around but it isn't nearly the same without "Lonesome" Dave, Rod Price, Tony Stevens and Roger Earl!. Peverett, Price, Stevens & Earl was the quintessential Foghat lineup and Craig MacGregor was admirable as Stevens' replacement on bass!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Most people are just referencing Slow Ride!. Lonesome Dave Peverett and crew turned out so much more!. They were a quintessetial live band, making their live version of I Just Want To Make Love To You a bigger smash than the studio version!. And they could really play in the studio too - I dare any band to copy all the percussion going on in Stranger In My Home Town, or recreate the guitars in Boogie Motel!.
You know what's REALLY missing!? We don't have a band to electrify and rock out the blues any more!. Bands like Foghat, George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers, Fabulous Thunderbirds, the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, the late Jeff Healey, and even Kenny Wayne Shepherd!.
