Insecure about singing? ?!
Question: Insecure about singing!? !?
I'm kind of insecure of singing!. I DO sing, but usually in my room with the door shut (its kind of always shut XD)
I like singing, i do!. But im kind of scared of singing in front of people (i have, though- just not like i usually do)!. 3 people have overheard me singing and they were all like omg, that was YOU!?
they thought it was part of the song!.!.!.
I dont know!. I guess im afraid of people telling me the truth in that case!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

i used to have the same problem, lol!. i dont know, i just got over it!. i used to hate singing in front of people because (this sounds stupid but ive had hard times and alot of insecurities) they would tell me i was good and i would think they were lying to me!. i thought i was good, i just thought no one else could!. then i found the most amazing friend in one very special person and i got so comfortable that i could sing anytime around her!. eventually i got used to singing with her, and i just started singing in front of anyone who would hear me!. (my neighbor even brings his baby over to my fence sometimes when im outside singing, it calms her down, haha!. ) dont be afraid of the truth, some people will like you, some not so much, but its the way singing makes you feel that counts!. I know how you feel, for ages i wouldn't sing in front of anyone at all! like, no-one!. Not least because i am an opera singer and people at my school and in my family hate opera!. One day i sang a song infront of one of my friends and she loved it!. Now i can sing in front of anyone (not my family, they, as i say, hate opera) and i'm not afraid!. I did it by learning a song really well so i could practically sing it backwards, one you're comfortable with and that sounds good!. Get lessons because your teacher will be really nice even if you do suck and you will get much better!. I (it did take a year of hard practise) finally got the courage to sing infront of my friend!. This hopefully will work for you but don't worry if it takes a while!. Sing infront of people who you know really well, and like and they will never tell you you suck!.

Well, If singing is what YOU want to do then go for it i mean if people that have heard you sing and think that your voice was part of the song they probably thought that you were good!.
I my self was like that until one of my friends mentioned something about my voice when she was over and i thought she was sleeping but i guess not ha lol

If you like it then go for it - everywhere you go people will criticize you because there is always some one who will just focus on the positive comments and enjoy what you're doing you can't live your life being afraid of the truth so go for it get involved in school maybe go to vocal lessons because although you may not need them if you want your voice to be appreciated that would be the best way to go!

join the club i sing in my car!.!. i can really belt it out sometimes when i know the song but my confidence dies and so does my voice when im not 100% on the lyrics!.
my soft voice is weak and strained though
i only do it for me!. i have no interest in entertaining
