hi i am ian i just made a yahoo account my dad signed me up for guitar when i was 12 i did not like at all i wasn't into music, i nevered practiced once, now i am 14 and in june i bought metallica's album kill em all becuase i was just board and wanted a new cd for fun, i loved it, i would head bang to it all day!. and that i was got me into music so since jume (2008) i practice guitar 6 hrs-7 hrs a day i am going try to practice like zakk wylde all day long when school starts,
sorry for being so long my questions is if some ask me how long have i been playing guitar for do i say 2 years or since june!!?
and this my practice routine chord switching i love gnr so i do welcome to the jungle twice, 4 scales practice chord switching then i do metallica "one" twice and then i do some tapping stuff then chord switching and i repeat it 4 times and i do a set of that 4 times a day is that good, sorry for being so long this is my first question!.

I would say you have been playing since June!. As for practice, just learn how to play songs, preferably by ear, or use tabs!. An excellent guitar tab site is http://www!.ultimate-guitar!.com/ You should also download the power tab software and guitar pro software
Then once you got some songs down pretty good, blast your stereo/computer and jam along!. I've been playing for 16 years!.
