Whatever musicant composer improvised this most inspirational music of National pride, looks like an untalented fool with a lack of music abilities!.
I was literally sickened by the climax; ,,!."the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air!.!.!." This should have been a climactic event of timpani, horns, and strong bass, to prepare troops for battle!.
Instead, at the climax came the semi-adagio with violins making a sound of war and battle sound like "Ebony and Ivory"!.
Let our most wonderful country show this climax as a message!. "Don't mess with us"!. It was simply a disgrace by a bunch of musicants who don't fully understand the passion of this patriotic song, to build strengths in the hearts of our glorious nation!.
I hope the next olympics can see through this idiocy, or lack of music knowledge!.

I agree!. Our symphony orchestra begins each concert with the national anthem and it's a rousing rendition that makes me tear up every time!. And while I'm at it!.!.!.the anthem does not deserve the goofy performances I hear at athletic events!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
I should keep out of this - not being American and I'm sure you are correct musically!.!.!.!.but, I hate the idea that nations should see themselves as playground bullies 'Don't mess with us'!.!.!.
Before coming on A!Y I used to be frightened of America and Americans and we're on the same side as you! But, if this is how I felt how much more alienated must other marginal countries/people feel!.
