Question: Why Do People Like Death Metal!?
I am sorry but to me its like sticking razors in my ears!. I tried listening to the band nile and (warning may offend death metal fans)!.!.!. I will just say I have taken dumps that sounded better than them!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I personally dislike death metal because of the vocals!. I think the music can be great sometimes, but the vocals distract me and totally take away from the song!. I can understand that other people like them though, because most people hate the type of vocals that I love!.

I like it because it just makes me feel awesome and crazy, and having an angry personality makes me enjoy listening to what you could call angry sounding music!. I just like how dark the lyrics are and most death metal bands have insane instrumentals!.
Opeth is probably the best death metal band!. Most bands that write such long songs I can't listen to the whole thing, but for Opeth I always can listen to the whole song!.

I'm not sure why people like certain metal!. I personally love White Zombie/Rob Zombie, but he actually sings and the band actually plays music!.
Some metal is so distorted and overdriven that you almost cant even make out where one chord ends and the next chord begins (but then again, maybe they dont play different chords ever at all!.!.!.just the same one over and over again)!.
Some metal has no singing (by definition), rather they have someone making a very belching noise into the microphone, or a noise that I might make if someone was trying to remove my leg skin with a rusty grapefruit spoon!.
So, like I said!. I have no clue why people like certain metal!. But there are a few good metal bands out there, like Rob Zombie or even Fear Factory (like the album Obsolete)!.

I saw Nile open for King Diamond in 2005 & I assure you that I was not in any hurry to buy their cd's!. It's really an acquired taste in rock!. It's not even pleasurable to listen to!. That kind of speed metal is liked by the young and young at heart who like fast paced music!. What more can I say!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
