I need some music suggestions?!
Question: I need some music suggestions!?
Hiya, I need some help with music!. I want to expand my musical horizons, a!.k!.a!. listen to more bands and songs!.
So can someone suggest some bands that you think I'd like!. Here's a list of some bands that I already know of and like to give you an idea of the type of things I listen too:
Mindless Self Indulgence - One of my favorite two bands
The Birthday Massacre - The other one
Coldplay - I prefer their older songs, like Yellow
Radiohead - I only like some of their stuff, Creep and Video Killed the Radio Star I like!.
10 Years - I love all their songs
3 Doors Down - My favorite of theirs is When I'm Gone
12 Stones - I don't listen to them all that often but I like them!.
Plus 44 - They're okay, I like a few of their songs!.
Weird Al - He's great!. i like Drive Thru and Albuquerque
Westlife - Typical boy band, I used their son Miss You for a flash for my friend who I hadn't seen in a while, I know her as Hurricane or psycho23, or Piper!. thats aside from the point though!.
Within Temptation - Beautiful voice, my favorite is Ice Queen
Psyclon Nine - They're!.!.!.different than most bands, a lot of people compare them to Suicide Commando, but I think the two are a lot different!.
Mudvayne - I like them a lot, they're more old fashioned then TBM and MSI, but I enjoy listening to them!.
Kelly - Another different style of music
Killswitch Engage - A new band I'm trying out
Avenged Sevenfold - Same as above
Modest Mouse - Recently got interested in them
Insane Clown Posse - I've liked them for a LONG time!. How Many Times and the Dating Game are probably two of my favorites, Rebel Flag is good too!.
ABBA - Didn't expect that on this list, did ya!?
Well that's most of em and I need to go now so, use that as a basis for my music tastes!. Of course there are other styles of music not included on this list of bands, but I pretty much like anything except for some Country and most Rap!. See ya!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

My best suggestion would be to head over to Jango!.com!.
All you have to do is enter a group you like, something by them will play, and while you're listening to that, they'll suggest other groups that are similar!. The first group you enter will be the default title of your first "station," which you can then add to by either selecting from their list of "suggested artists" or by adding similar artists on your own!. You pick which groups or artists go on each list, and it generates a new list of similar artists for each group you pick!.
For instance, I see you've listed Weird Al, who is on their list!.
Putting his name in will give you a list of comedians and novelty song artists (would you believe the Bloodhound Gang shows up!?)
If you don't like the artists listed, don't add them!.
Hint: Eventually, they do run out of accurate suggestions (they've only got a finite list) and start listing groups more randomly!.!.!. at which point you can start another station!.
Another nice thing is you get to rate individual songs!.
If you have a group on more than one list, just because you wanted a particular song on one, doesn't mean you have to have it on another (list)!.
If you add Tom Lehrer to your Weird Al list, but you only want "Masochism Tango" and "Entering Marion," then rate those two as either liked or loved, and rate everything else as "don't ever play this again!."
Say you have a friend you want to impress (for whatever reason) by having a collection of "not nice to animals" station (totally just an example- I hate the song "Dead Puppies," so it's not even on my list)!.!.!. You could add Tom Lehrer's "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park" and "Dead Puppies" (I can't remember off-hand who does it, but it's there), right alongside Monty Python's "Dead Parrot Sketch" and Barnes & Barnes' "Fish Heads"!.
Or you could just add groups, and rate the songs as they play!.
