You could try YoutTube for lessons but sometimes they can be a bit unreliable!. Learn to read TAB and that will help you alot because you can then just find tabs for songs on the internet!. Tabs should have 6 lines with numbers all over them!. The top line represents the thinest string while the bottom line represents the thickest string!. From the thickest string to the thinest, the strings names are E A D G B E!. Now back to the tabs!. !. !. The numbers represent which fret(the lines on the neck of the guitar) to play at!. For example, if you see a 4 on the top line, that means to play that string in the fourth fret!. Hope that has given you a basic idea to tabs!. Chords are the other way to play a guitar!. You should be able to find simple lessons on youtube for them!. If you cant, look for a chord chart on the internet!. Chord charts run similar to tabs, with the top line representing the thinest (E) string!. The chart should be split into sections, each section representing a fret!. You play the strings marked with the (0) at the start but you do not play the ones marked with an (X)!. A few good chords to start off learning would be A, D, G, E and C!. I've been playing for 30 years and still learn lots of new things on youTube!. What you gotta do is practice til it hurts and your bored then keep going and then practice some more!. After that all you have to do is practice for a bit, then do some practce, then practice for a while, then have your dinner, do your homework then practice!. Drop all your friends that dont play guitar, get new ones that do then teach them what you've learned, learn what they;ve learned , then practice together!. Then go home and practice alone!.
