Question: How can i get a better rock voice!?
hey me and my freinds started a band!. i play lead guiatar but i also wanna sing backup also!. do u have any advice on how i could improve my voice for rock!.we play rock like nickelback and theoryof a dead man if that helps in anywayWww@Enter-QA@Com

This might sound cliched, but remember -- practice makes perfect!. If you want to sound like the bands you mentioned (Nickelback, ToaDM) you're gonna need to practice!.
However, you've gotta learn the basics first, before you can jump out and move audiences!. By basics, I mean the things that make voices such awesome instruments -- things like inflection, intonation, timbre, harmonies, etc!. Then you can focus on how to emulate their sound!. Just one word of advice -- don't try to sound exactly like your favorite rockers, cos that's why people like different bands -- different styles!. So, go with what feels natural!. People in general don't like strained voices (some do, but that's a different story)!. If your singing is natural, and your style is your own, people wuill gravitate towards your band more!.
I know you said you wanted to sing backup, but don't think that it's gonna be any easier -- no one likes to be the weakest link in a chain, so try to be the strongest!.

Find you RANGE!. Seriously, singing in the wrong range can screw up your voice, make it harder, and sound insincere!. Just find your own personal style (boring singers are a dime a dozen) and go with it!. Rock is all about not giving a **** about what others think, so do whatever your voice wants to do and take it from there!. I have to sing really high, because I'm a true discant soprano, but I still have a rockin voice!Www@Enter-QA@Com
I've been in the music business for a while, the only way that'll make your voice sound phenomenal is by taking vocal lessons!. 99!.5% of all singers have taken vocal lessons!. Taking lessons will also help you avoid damaging your voice!. It'll save you in the long run!.

well depends!. If you wanna sound like em then just listen to em and sing a lot to their songs tryin to mimic their voices and eventually it'll just happen!. Its like developing an accent!. Stay in England for a long time and ur gonna come back soundin english!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
