all the black metal shows i've been too have been terrible!.
Some good death metal shows i've been to are: Cannibal Corpse, kataklysm, cryptopsy, suffocation
thrash is also good live: megadeth, slayer, testament
It pretty much depends on the band though!.!.!.sometimes you are lucky and hit them on a good night other times they are sloppy and sound terrible!.!.!.!.
