Answers:

95% of the time not really!. If the tubes were newer, especially, then you're just fine!. I will leave an amp on overnight with new tubes, to help break them in a bit!.

I would advise you to get a backup set of power tubes!. Preamp tubes (the little ones) don't wear out anywhere near as fast as the power tubes do!. If you play a lot, consider changing your tubes every year!. If you're like me and just play every now and then, you should be able to go 2 years before you need a change!.

You are using your standby switch, right!? To turn on an amp, flip it to standby for 1 minute, then all the way on!. To turn it off, flip to standby for 1 minute, then all the way off!. If you aren't playing it but still need it on, flip it to standby!.

This is one of the biggest ways to properly care for your tubes, just powering them up and cooling them down with a little bit of tenderness!.

You've probably decreased their life span but if none of em got hot enough to blow than consider yourself lucky!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
