my friend's in the same exact situation!. i would say good artists for that sort of feeling are like coldplay, aqualung, augustana, azure ray, bright eyes, cascada, corinne bailey rae, dashboard confessional, death cab for cutie, dido, edwin mccain, five for fighting, flunk, the fray, the goo goo dolls, some songs by hellogoodbye, imogen heap, incubus, kind of jason mraz, jimmy eat world, john mayer, jordin sparks, journey, keane, led zeppelin, leona lewis, mat kearney, matt nathanson, michael buble, michelle branch, nickleback, the postal service, regina spektor, sara bareilles, shawn mullins, sixpence none the richer, snow patrol, 3 doors down, and a few songs called "you belong to me" by jason wade from shrek, "shine on" by jet!.
