No, not at all!. Rap should tell a story, be it gagster or not!. Everyone is responsible for their own actions!. If you are not able to decipher what is real from fiction you shouldnt listen!. also, parents need to teach their children right from wrong!. Honestly I believe it begins in the home!. You have to be mature enough to know how to interpret what you hear!. If someone that you know and trusted told you to go jump in a lake, would you do it!? Most of us knows that's an expression!. Some of the Gangsta rap you hear TODAY, comes from real life experiences and that's all they know!. Back in the past when it first started, it was a gimmick to draw a new group of listeners, and expand the rap audience to what it is today!. Notice how Ice Cube helped pioneer gangsta rap, but now, he raps about other topics!.!.!.still keepin' it gangsta, but not as thorough as he once was!. He matured, and realized that some people are taking these lyrics the wrong way!. So, if the parents won't take time out to listen to the rap songs and make an effort to teach their children how to interpret the lyrics, then the child will take it the wrong way and act upon them!. I was 18 when it first hit the streets, but I knew how to interpret it!. Can't say that today though!. So, it's really not fair to blame gangsta rap!. Crimes even worse than what some songs influence were worse than they are today!. Mobsters and O!.G's litterally cutting a body up and sending it to the family!.!.!.that's gangsta!. Shooting someone in the head and leaving, that's just a ordinary street crime!. Along with drug traffic, it's like a never ending battle!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

From the rap that I've heard, it's not like it used to be!. It used to talk about life and standing for your beliefs!. Now it's just a lot of obseneities that demean women and humans alike IMHO!. Yes, I think that a majority of gangster rap influences youth in a negative way!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
