Kurt Cobain is seen as a pioneer of a genre of music!. He was a great musician and he inspired many people who came after him!. In his genre(s), he is a very important figure!. I think that Cobain was more important to his genre because he helped create it!.
Tupac didnt create a genre, but I think that he resurrected the best part of his genre for a while!. In his "pre Death Row" days, his music was full of inspiring and positive messages!.!.!.!.plus his flow was unbelievable!.
Even after he was drawn into Death Row, his music was still great, gritty, and real!. The positivity was few and far between, but was still a huge part of who he was!.
I truly think that Tupac will be remembered, in some circles, like Bob Marley is remembered!. Wherever there is a poor area that has been beaten down, you will hear Tupac coming out of a window!.
Cobain and Tupac are hard to compare, but I would say that Cobain added more to the genre he was in!.!.!.!.but Tupac will have a longer legacy when all is said and done!.
Both are musical royalty and will always be celebrated in my home!.!.!.!.!.and both left too soon!.

Tupac made a bigger impact in his genre, Cobain made a better impact on music in general!. but screw both of them, because the majority of the "good" things about music are attributed to dead musicians and not the people creating the music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd chose Kurt just because I am a huge Nirvana fan, but Tupac did make a huge influence on the rap community and I would put him on the list for one of the greatest rappers of all time!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
