Why do the Japanese version of albums always get bonus tracks and sometimes a DV!

Question: Why do the Japanese version of albums always get bonus tracks and sometimes a DVD while the USA doesn't!?
This annoys me because sometimes I'll want the bonus track or bonus dvd and the only way to get it is to buy the Japanese version of an album

Japanese consumers are often motivated by special edition products!. Even Xboxes, which are usually ignored, sell like hot cakes when special editions are released!. It doesn't cost a record label a penny to put a bonus track on a CD and if they weren't selling more this way they wouldn't do it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The Japanese version is mostly purchased by Japanese citizens!. So it is like a reward or prize for being Japanese or living in Japan!. The US versions do not include the extra items because they are "dummy downed" for profits in America!. If you want the extra DVD then that will cost extra, but people who buy the Japanese version get special "treats" as common curitsy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I always figured it was a scam to get you to pay more for that album tagged "Import"!.
