What are some songs that would be good for a singing competition?!
Question: What are some songs that would be good for a singing competition!?
I am thinking about entering a singing competition that my school is holding!. My voice is strong, loud, and can reach very low notes without loosing volume!. High notes are tough sometimes, but I can normally smooth them out with practice!.
I am not looking for any specific songs, just music with good lyrics that can really flaunt my vocal talent!.

Ballads:
I'm Not That Girl from Wicked!. It's a very emotional song that has sweet lyrics and goes super low (I'm an alto and I can sing it, and it sounds like you are an alto too)!.
Invisible by Taylor Swift!. It doesn't go nearly as low as I'm Not That Girl but it should showcase your talent well!.
The Story by Brandie Carlile!. A really sweet song!. It definetely goes a bit higher than the other two!. You can view all these songs on iTunes!.
Up tempo songs:
Our Song by Taylor Swift!. A really great, fun, country-pop song with humorous lyrics!.
Big Deal by LeAnn Rimes!. A great, fun, sassy country song!. Definetely good for those low notes!.
A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton!. I sang this one, and it's a generally easy song to sing, but the audience can't tell!.

Well, anything Christina Aguilera!. she goes low AND high!. very difficult but fantastic if done right!. Reflections or I Turn To you arent too hard!.!.!. Save me From Myself is soft!.!.!. But im assuming by loud, u mean belting, but not a high belt!? umm, you could sing!.!.!. Keep on Singing my Song
