Question: Have you all noticed the explosion of interest in Classic Rock by many teens today!? Has Youtube caused this!?
My neighbors kids jam to Floyd, Zeppelin, and the other great classic bands!. The 17 year old dresses 70's and only listens to the great classic rock and even classic rock that never hit the radio that much!. He has an awesome collection of classic rock music!. He says that he connects with classic rock and feels it deeply!. He says he has no connection to the modern bands!.
This is just one kid that I know that is totally into classic rock!. Are most kids today gravitating to the great classic rock music!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm 15 and I live, breathe, and sleep classic rock!. I personally only know a few other kids who listen to classic rock, but those that I do know are totally devoted!. I think with classic rock, it's almost like you live it or you don't listen to it, no in between!. I'm a big Jim Morrison fan, I dress like him, am growing my hair out like him, and i even sound like him (which I love!)!. I also love Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, etc!. Im 14, but I was lucky enough to have my parents introduce me to 80's music!. That's all that was ever on in the car when I was growing up!. I hit a mainstream path at about 10-11 and then when I realized how shitty it was I went back to the 80's!. I just kept going back further and further and ended up listening to 60's and 70's, now my favorite era of music!.

I don't know why!. But I'm sure YouTube plays a big part somewhere!. At least it does for me!.
I'm into Metal!. All the Metal bands that are around today and got into at the beginning!.!.!.!. I looked up to them, admired them a great deal and then was interested in THEIR inspirations and so checked them out too!. Of course that brought me back to the 80s and 70s, and then further back!.!.!.!. to the start of it all - classic ROCK!.
I now am a huge fan of bands such as The Doors, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyed, Queen (their early stuff)!.!.!. OK!.!. I won't make a huge list!.!.!. but most of them are old bands like so!
And it's thanks to looking up everyone elses inspirations, finding out where it all began!.!.!. therefor YouTube plays a big part in finding music as does Wikipedia!.

I think kids are influenced by what their parents play, and if their parents had good taste in classic rock then it's bound to rub off on the kids - I got Hendrix, The Who etc and then moved onwards and upwards and found my own sounds too!. Can't beat a bit of All Along the Watchtower - it makes a great ringtone on your phone!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Have you listened to the radio lately!? Most of it is a bunch of crap-*** music!. That is the reason why kids are turning back the clock to the classics! If they have any taste at all, they realize the shite they have to listen to on the radio is crap!.

There's this little kid that plays guitar with the youth choir at my church and he loves Zepp!. I agree that Guitar Hero has to do with most of it!. More often then not when a classic rock song comes on someone will say "That's the Guitar Hero song!"Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, I think it has more to do with the lack of talented musicians producing music currently!. There are some really good new(er) bands, but I think we can all have an appreciation for classic bands!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah, pretty much!. Guitar Hero and Rock Band have a lot of 70s/80s songs on 'em, so that might be one of the many influences also!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
