How are rappers in certain songs if they have already died?!

Question: How are rappers in certain songs if they have already died!?
for example,
Nas ft!. 2Pac - Black PresidentWww@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
pre-recorded music that was never released or samples from older songs that we're edited to fit the songWww@Enter-QA@Com

Since the advent of multi-track recording, every instrument/vocal you hear in a tune is recorded to its on seperate track & then mixed together during the mixdown process!. Because of this, there will always be a copy of an a capella version of pretty much any song recorded after 1975ish (obviously this is dependant on the recording studio having multi-track recording equipment but this is the standard nowadays & has been for some time now)!. Although the a capella version may not be available to the general population (they are sometimes included on the B-side of vinyl singles) the record label will keep a copy for their archives!.

Any producer can then request to have access to these a capellas for remixing purposes or whatever & it is up to the record label who owns the masters whether they allow said producer access to the recording or not!.

There are 2 reasons dead rappers have verses on tunes after they have died - 1!. the rapper has a lot of unreleased material that the label doesn't know what to do with (this is especially the case with Tupac)!. Not all rappers spend their days drinking 40's & smoking bluntz, some actually spend most of their time in the studio rapping to beats!. These tracks may or may not see the light of day for any number of reasons (label doesn't know how to market the release/doesn't think there is a market for it etc etc)!. If a well-known rapper dies in their prime the label they are signed to will often want to cash in on the unused material they have locked in their vaults!. They can either release it as it was originally recorded or offer the a capellas to producers who think they can make the product more marketable (either by writing a new backing tune or sticking the a capella on the end of someone else's tune (in the case of the above example Nas ft!. 2Pac)!.
2!. The other reason this all happens is if an artist dies suddenly as in the case of Big L!. His first album Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous was recorded with him in the studio, his second album, The Big Picture, was released in 2000, after he died in 1999 & contained little new vocal material!. After his death his label wanted to put something out and gave the DITC producers, DJ Premier, Pete Rock & a few others access to all the recordings they had of Big L!. These recordings were then chopped and cut to create enough verses for a full length album!. If you listen to the complete album you can hear several lines repeated in different songs with the proceeding and receeding lines difering from tune to tune!.

its bascially all about the Benjamins!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Rappers record a lot of lyrics and record them, some with a backing track and some without, of course the material that the artist needed at the time is usually record to the album and the rest of the recording are saved in case they ever need a verse to be added to a later project!. With a lot of left over material producers can use it a rearrange it in to new tracks!. This strictly speculation but I believe I'm close to the answer!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
