Clarinet to oboe is it hard?!


Question: Clarinet to oboe is it hard!?
I would like to switch from clarinet to oboe!. My band director already said that he wants me to and i was just wondering!. IS IT HARD!?!?!?!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oboe is great, I played for years!. Don't think of it as "switching", you have to think of it as "learning a new instrument"!. It IS different, but you can handle it! The hardest part will be learning the double reed!. You'll "honk" a lot in the beginning, and that's ok!. The fingering is not the same, but like I said, it's learning something brand new!. GO FOR IT if you want to!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I actually started on the oboe and then learned clarinet!.
Oboe is a hard instrument because of the double reed!.
But it's not too hard! I'm sure if your band director has confidence in you then you can do it!. I really liked the oboe because of the unique sound (and i got some really cool solos)
