Do you call an album a Classic because you've heard it...?!
Question: Do you call an album a Classic because you've heard it!.!.!.!?
Or do you call an album a classic because other people said it was one!?
I've done this sometimes and called an album a classic without even hearing it just because someone else did, and then when i finally did hear the album fully, i was disappointed and didn't think it deserved classic status!. For example, Reasonable doubt!. I thought it was a classic because everyone else said it was, and then when i finally bought the album and listened to it, I wasn't impressed and thought it was just an average album!.

i call an album classic when every track on the album is memorable!. I usually don't listen to other peolpe when it comes to music, but I did buy TLC's now and forever the hits album after my friend told me about it, and to this day it is still my fave album!!!!!

It depends on what you take classic to mean, I guess!. I feel you on the point that you can't just go along with what everyone says without listening for yourself!. However, whether you like an album or not, some albums do reach a point at which the influence they have on other artists and other projects, and even on hip-hop as a whole, has a deep reaching and lasting effect on the game!. Reasonable Doubt's impact was crazy, even if you specifically did not like the album!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was with you until you said Reasonable Doubt isn't a classic!. I know everybody has their own opinion but honestly if you think that I don't know what you are listening to when it comes to hip-hop!.
