Tough one if I were gonna slap Rush on someone!. I'd feel safer making them a mix!. But if forced, I'd pick Moving Pictures or 2112!. (though having a newbie sit thru 20 mins!. might be tough) Www@Enter-QA@Com

They are one of my favorite bands and I have been introducing them to all of my friends with wonderful results!.
I would give Modest Mouse's "The Moon and Antarctica"!.!.!.!.I think that is a great beginners album for MM (followed by "Lonesome Crowded West")!. It has alot of great accessible songs and has all time greats like

i didnt introduce them to a full album, i jus played them what i feel are the bands best songs, and ended up taking them along with me to Aiden's last tour of the UK (2nd april, manchester academy2 and 8th april leeds cockpit)
and afterwards my friends said, wow, i now have a fave nu band

Then go on to Too Fast For Love!.
If you don't like either of them, try their self-titled album!.
It has a way different vocalist on it, making it sound completely different!.
