try seeing if you can get hold of recording stuff from a music shop that can enable you to connect it to your computer some things might come in packages and you can get computer programs like cubase where you can add other instruments and synchronize and do lots of fancy stuff with!. i recorded guitar and drums through that software at school and then just used it to make it sound a little better!.

hope that helpedWww@Enter-QA@Com

download Adobe Audition!.!.its a home studio program(freeware),easy to learn, studio sound standard, varies sound effects and Eq to choose from!.!.!.just hook up from ya output(distortion)to ya input(desktop)and ya good to go!.!.!.just some minor adjustments required to get the final sound desired!.!.cheersWww@Enter-QA@Com

a web-cam can be used for recording

or a regular recorder thing-y
then just upload the video onto your computer
and then onto the internetWww@Enter-QA@Com

there are 2 main ways to do it: direct line and microphone!. and if you want to start gettin serious about this, you are going to want to know how to do both and have a good idea about the sound differences!.
1!. direct line- you can do this by finding the line out on your amp or mixer and running it into the mic hole on your computer!. you will likely need either a 1/4th mono to 1/8th stereo cable to go from the amp or a split rca to 1/8th stereo to run from a mixer!. note, the mic on your computer is stereo, so if you run from a mixing board you can pan it on the mixing board and it will pickup on your computer (with the right software anyway) generally, this is a good way to do things, you get the cleanest feed possible with the smallest risk of getting override distortion!. they also sell 1/4th mono to usb cables that you can use to go directly from your guitar or from your amp to a usb input, they run around 30-50 dollars!. in addition, some more advanced sound cards can be bought with split rca inputs and 1/4th mono inputs, those can be handy too!. are you following so far!?
2!. mic!. miking your amp is a riskier kind of endeavor, but you will find that it does have its benefits, especially when trying to get certain distortion sounds or when recording acoustic!. either way, your grittier sound is going to be when you mic it, and sometimes a grittier sound is nice, but you do have to worry about your input level, high levels risk distortion, low levels tend to get buzz when you normalize them!. it is good to have as many microphone options as you can, there are tons of mics out there and they sound different!. some mics will already be ready to go to your 1/8th stereo on your computer and others will need some kind of adapter, and some may need to be ran through an amplifier!.
ok!. you will also need some sort of recording software, some comes on both windows and mac, but the windows software is not multitrac, and garage band is very limited!. you will probably want pro-tools or some other program!. i use cakewalk sonar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
