What are these Mozart symphonies?!

Question: What are these Mozart symphonies!?
I have on cd Mozart's symphonies 44-47, and no!. 55!.
There is no record of these I can find in the official cannon!. The K no's predate most other symphonies, in the 90's mainly!.
Are they in the same category of the joint no 37, which is really a Haydn symphony!? Or are they among those compositions supposedly others, such as his dad!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Mozart wrote around 50 symphonies!. Some early ones have only been discovered relatively recently - while one or two were mistakenly attributed to him which were written by other composers!. When K?chel put the original Mozart catalogue together only 41 numbered symphonies were listed!. Curiously, K?chel listed several symphonies to which history never attached numbers!. Of these numbered works, 'No 2' is actually a work by Johann Christian Bach, 'No 3' is by Carl Friedrich Abel and No 37 is a symphony by Michael Haydn (the 'famous' Haydn's younger brother), with only the slow introduction to the first movement being by Mozart!. So, already the confusion is setting in - of the 41 numbered symphonies, Mozart only wrote 38 of them! Many early symphonies have, rather misleadingly, been given numbers after 41 (although this is not a universally-accepted practice)!. In chronological order (the original catalogue got quite a few in the wrong order!), Mozart's known symphonies are as follows:

Symphony No 1 K 16

Could you give more information on the CD you are referring to!?
As far as I am aware, Mozart only wrote 41 Symphonies - the last one being the "Jupiter!." Have you checked the Kochel catalogue, it is available on line with respect to descriptions of the K numbers that the CD has!?
Curious, I'd love to know more!

There is a lot of weirdness when it comes to Mozart symphonies!. The K numbers are not chronologically correct, I forgot what it is but I think his most famous symphony is K 40 but is actually like his 47 symphony!. but I don't exactly remember the specifics!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am not positive but when the former Communist countries starting opening, a lot of Music was found, St Marks passion by Bach, several symphonies by Haydn and Mozart and others!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
