I am still unseen by my style is so serene

Growing up in the hood starts you a step back

They try to disguise themselves with bling and swearing
You cant always believe what they say
I grew up living the lives they try to portray
Everyday was a struggle to try to stay alive
you have to contrive a way to for you thrive
I found my strength playing ball on the block
I got respect without using a glock
But I am in shock every time I take a walk
I see kids growing up acting cool by selling crack
Being taught if someone shoots at you shoot back
If I lived that way my mother would say i stabbed her in the back
