Question: Do you think that in classic rock song names are more well-known than band names!?
!.!.!.to people that aren't way into classic rock!. I've told a ton of people I know that aren't way into classic rock "Did you know We are the Champions, We Will Rock You, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Another One Bites the Dust we're all by the band Queen!?" and they go "Whoa! I didn't know those were all by one band!" I think choruses are more famous than bands to people of modern mainstream music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Sadly, yes, it's very true!.!.!. I hate when songs like We Will Rock You or Back In Black or something are played during a school assembly and everyone sings along when half of them don't even know the artist or have any concept of when the song was made or anything!.!.!. it frustrates me to no end, and I can't imagine the bands are too happy about it!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
In New Zealand about 20 years ago, telecom used Buddy Holly's song Rave On for their TV ads!. At the same time, the soundtrack to the movie Cocktail was released and John Mellencamp sings Rave On on it!. JM's version was on the radio one day and a friend of mine said "Hey, that's the telecom song" I could've hit him!.
My 18 year old neice thought I had the soundtack to CSI as I was playing The Who on CD!.

That's true but I believe that's just common in the U!.S!. since Queen wasn't so popular in the states
I'm pretty sure that Europeans, South Americans and etc!. know that all those songs are by one amazing band named Queen!. Since they were widely known in those continents Www@Enter-QA@Com

Haha, just like the songs, too!. I was singing "Baba O'Riley" the other day and someone said, "who's that by!?" to which I responded, "The Who!." The clueless look was a bit disconcerting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

lol, yeah that's happened to me!. Usually when I ask someone if they like Rush they have no idea who I'm talking about until I mention Tom Sawyer, Limelight!.!.!.!.etc!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
