That's a tough one, but it doesn't have to be!. When I am working in the studio, if I think about recording & exactly what I am doing, it can be a real pain & I make a lot of mistakes!. When I relax and ignore the mic, and just play for the fun of it, I forget what I'm doing (recording) and enjoy the music, just like when I am playing live with the band!. So, that's what I do, usually close my eyes, take a deep breath, relax and play with the band (or the recording of what they have done so far)!. It works for me, hopefully it will help you too!. Just don't think about anything except the joy of the music you are making!. Good luck!.
