Question: What is the most overrated band of all time!?

The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, since if you ask most people who the "best rock band" of all time is, you'll get those two for an answer!.
Or most influential, or any number of categories where neither bands apply!.
They are decent bands that made a few good songs, but you hear in today's music, and the music of the last thirty years, influences from bands like The Who, The Rolling Stones, and The Kinks way more than you hear Beatles and Zeppelin influences!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Let's go to some real obvious ones
Nirvana - yes, they're over-rated, but they're still a great band!. It's just that the other grunge bands don't get much respect!.
Metallica - same thing here, they're great too, but others like Megadeth just don't get enough attention
Radiohead - easily one of the most over-rated bands of all time!. People hail them being "ALWAYS ORIGINAL" and often compare them to other bands, some not even doing the same genre!. also, their fans are annoying as hell!.
U2 - OK, the old stuff is excellent!.!.!.War, Achtung Baby, Joshua Tree, but it's the new stuff that makes them over-rated!. Yes they are influential to rock (Hello Coldplay!?), but their new stuff is simply not superior and deserving of huge acclaim!.

In my opinion, I think either AC/DC or Lynyrd Skynyrd!. If I had to choose between them, I would go with the latter!. They just weren't very good!. Each had their one song that pretty good but that's it (AC/DC - Shook Me All Night Long, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird)!. Neither of those songs was SPECTAULAR btw, just pretty good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
