I know there is standard 440 tuning for guitars!.
can anybody give me a list of all the other tuning's for guitars and an example in a song of what it sounds like!?
im getting my guitar outta the shop soon to learn how to play!.!.and i just need alil info on tuning any help is much appreciated!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

there's things like open tunings or drop tunings where some strings are octaves and the other strings are major or minor thirds and perfect fifths to create the effect of chords when the frets are barred!. there's also tunings like Eb tuning which is all tuned down a half step but still tuned in 440!. early Iron Maiden songs were about 5-10 cents sharp (445-450)!. Metallica's "Kill em All" is also in a similar tuning!. most things are generally in A440!. hope this helps your musical journey!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
a very easy to tune and well known tuning is drop D the E on the top of your guitar you tune down a whole note it is well known for heavier musicWww@Enter-QA@Com
there is drop d tuning for metal songs there down half a step tuning for hard rock songs theres high to low tung (drop d and half a step down) and there tons of otheres like double drop d and open gWww@Enter-QA@Com
