Marty was a very good songwriter, too!. He wrote a song that's on my list of favorites, "Cigarettes and Coffee Blues" (which Lefty Frizzell had a hit with four years before Robbins' version)!.

yes i am a Marty Robbins fan and i lay awake and cried when he died!.About 3 weeks before he made the NASCAR race at Atlanta and my brother was the one who was "Bumped" out of the field!.Afterward Marty sat on a stack of tires in the garage and sang El Paso!.I dare say that was his last public performance!. I wouldn't trade the memory for every race my brother made!. That song holds a special place in my heart!. Peace to you
