Question: Heavy Metal vs!. Hip hop
Me and my friend are arguing and I say hip hop is much better than heavy metal!. Help me prove him wrong and tell him that hip hop is a million times better than heavy metal!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Anyways, I say hip hop is better because it has more soul!. Metal is based on incredibly fast instrument playing and using your voice as an even louder instrument!. It's energetic, but there's no real substance to it!. That's why people will tell you guys like Eric Clapton and BB King are better guitarists than *insert popular metal guitarist*, because they play with SOUL!.
In Hip hop the focus is on the actual words, and how you put rhymes together, mostly as a means to express yourself!. So we appreciate the music for a different reason metal fans appreciate their music!. It's not about how fast paced and energetic the beat is, but how the rapper conveys his or her ideas!. 2Pac rapped with soul, if you can't see why a song like "So Many Tears" is good music, then you can't really understand why hip hop is better than metal to hip hop fans!.

It is impossible to sum up all heavy music as "Heavy Metal" as it is impossible to sum up all rhyming-to-a-beat music as "Hip Hop"!. You and your friend may not know the correct titles or genres of the bands you are comparing, which is actually good because those titles mean nothing and they corrupt to conform people!. In my opinion there is some hardcore, death metal(which is NOT satanic by standard), punk, metalcore, thrashcore, just plain heavy chugalug stuff that is amazing and if you read the lyrics they can blow you away with creativity and purpose and virtue!. There is old hip hop (like Whodini, Funky four, Fab 5, Melle Mel, etc!.!.), thug ish( like CNN, Mobb Deep, The Alkaholiks, Nas, ODB, etc!.!.), lyrical ish(like Thirstin Howl, MF Doom, Wordsworth, Heiroglyphics, Kool Keith, Ghostface,!.!.) and Pop ish( like Kanye, Lil John, Fat Joe, 50 cent, Remy Ma, Game, Ice Cube, Young Jock,etc!.!.)!. THEY ALL DIFFER TOO MUCH TO LABEL!. For example I hate pop rap and think it is the worst thing that happened to NYC but I love lyircal and some thug ish!. It created it's own sound and is constantly progressing!. For example2 I hate goth, Slayer, Metallica, and devil worshippers but I love MPB, Shai Hulud, Suffokate, and other just catchy crunchy bands from different ends of the heavy guitar scene!. If you take all the sub-genres of each label you stated I would have to pick Heavy Metal because there is at least 30 bands I can think of that unknowing people would label as metal if they heard that just rock entire venues and sound great live or on cd!. In hip hop there is at least 300 bands or artists that I can think of that just should have never been given a studio or mixer of any type!. Usually I have to ignore or skip through rap albums to get to the few decent tracks on them, but If i like a heavy band of some sort enough to buy the cd I know they may only have one song or two that suck if that at all!. It really depends on what they're talking about!. Yeah when it's dark and satanic and what not I'm not really feeling metal, but if they're really talking about something I can get with it!. That's what was so great about hardcore, but I don't think the industry ever really got behind it!. With hardcore they were really talking about stuff, mainly the government, but other issues as well on occasion!.
Musically hip-hop sort of kills metal and most rock in general IMO; rock hasn't been solid musically for quite some time now, I mean you have pop rock but that stuff is like rock without any soul and is sort of cold and baseless!. IMO I think the industry killed off what little credibility Metal had; Metallica was like the best group of that genre and no one really knew how to transcend the eighties and nineties!. I think System of a Down was interesting for a quick second!. Best bet for Metal is if like GNR comes back!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love the way my ears ring after listening to Marilyn Manson scream nonsense into them!. And the eyeliner and super tight leggings that they wear are just to die for!. Well people that say all heavy metal is just satanic music are not really understanding what heavy metal is and are just thinking of extreme versions of the genre!. For example, Led Zeppelin was one of the earlier heavy metal bands, and has gotten far more critical acclaim than any hip hop artist could hope to achieve!. Don't get me wrong, I like some hip hop music (not this soulja boy garbage, old school stuff), but in all heavy metal is a much better genre!. also it takes a lot more talent to be able to play a guitar than it does to make words rhyme!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
