My Answer: Probably Glenn Gould for his eccentricities (like eating scrambled eggs at 2 or 3 in am at same restaurant every night), Morissey for his ambiguous sexuality (axsexual/ homosexual!?!? - no one knows)!.!.!.and Syd Barrett (no need for explanation there)!.!.!.!.!.!.GG Allin also, however his extreme narcissism was appaling to me!.

I am only going to say who pops in my mind right this moment!.!.but John Lennon for not only being one of the greatest songwriters of all time, and being in one of the biggest bands of all time, but doing much more with peace and other artistic endeavors!.!.!.and his shocking death!.!.!.!.
Kurt Cobain was another brilliant songwriter who led a genre into the mainstream that many didn't know about!.!.he was the anti-rock stars at the brink when decadence was at the helm of rock culture!.!.!.and his drug use and suicide only lent to his tragic tale!.!.!.
Zakk Wylde to me is just phenomenal!.!.!.the guy looks like a Viking from hell, yet can shred a guitar with Ozzy Osbourne or sit at a piano and do "Whiter Shade of Pale" and he writes, sings, plays guitar, bass , and piano on all of his Black Label Society albums, the guy has more musicianship his his left hand than most pop stars have in their whole bodies!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd have to say Emilie Autumn!. Her lyrics are pretty interesting, and she's very "real"!. She has a crazy yet unique fashion sense, and she does tons of different vocal styles!. She's pretty fascinating, imo!.
