What i did my first singing lesson:
My teacher asked me what kind of music i like, what i like to sing, and what i hope to accomplish with singing lessons!.
We listened to my ipod, and she picked songs that i liked, and she knew and she ordered sheet music for it!.
we went over basic singing excersizes, and what parts of the body are used!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

She will test your range, ask what kind of music you like, what are you willing to learn, probably ask how much experience you have had singing!. Then you will start with warming up, usually the warm ups are goofy but they help A LOT, you will probably do that for about 15 mins then you will choose a piece of music or 2 then you will start singing, but I really wouldn't expect a lot of actual singing of songs, more warm ups getting your voice warmed up if you haven't had this much singing!.!.I hope it goes well!! Don't be nervous it is scary the first time but it is a breeze, and if you don't know what she is talking about just ask!!!! GOOD LUCK and have fun!!

It depends on the teacher- he/she may just talk to you about policies and what you will be working on- maybe talk about breathing or something!. He/she will probably vocalize you a little bit just to get a little bit of information about your voice- and perhaps get you to sing a song or two that you enjoy singing!. But as I said, everyone is different!. Don't be afraid to ask questions!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, it depends how experienced of a singing lesson teacher you have!. You will probably learn how to stay on pitch, some vocal exercises!. Oh, and maybe the difference between your head voice and your chest voice!. also it depends how experienced you are, your teacher might ask you how much you know all ready, and work on it some more!.
