Answers:
Make sure your arm movements are done high (around the level of your head) and are crisp so they can be easily distinguished!. If you don't already wear gloves, try getting a pair of black or white ones (whichever will be more visible with your uniform)!. You should be able to get good ones made for marching band at your local music store or just ask your director!. Drum majors commonly wear gloves to make their hands stand out from the rest of the body!. If you're on a field or standing still (ie not a parade), try getting a platform or stepstool to stand on!. This is also commonly done by drum majors and will make it much easier to see you!Www@Enter-QA@Com

well the down beat of count one should always be higher than the down beat of two so that way everyone knows what count you're on!. also you could be double prepping causing your conducting pattern look a little odd!. you should take drum majoring classes at a band camp or ask help from a previous drum major for help!. I even think they sell instruction videos!. I know they sell them for marching fundamentals and colorguard techniqes on flag, rifel, and saber so why not one on drum majoring!.

but your height shouldn't really be a problem because one of our drum majors was about as short as you and we could see what she was conducting!. sorry I don't have any personal experiance with drum majoring other than taking a drum majoring class at band camp for the heck of it!. well i hoped i help at least a little

good luck and have fun :]Www@Enter-QA@Com
