How do I make that little trill sound on my cello?!

Question: How do I make that little trill sound on my cello!?
I think its called trill consonant!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
I'm not sure what a "trill consonant" is, never heard of it!.

But a trill is were you play a note!.!.!.!.say B natural (1st finger on A) and you rapidly put down and pick up your 2nd finger on C natural, alternating the pitches very quickly!. That's a trill!.

Most good private teachers will have you practice this with each finger combo:
1 to 2
1 to 3
1 to 4
1 to extended 4
2 to 3
2 to 4
2 to extended 4
3 to 4
3 to extended 4

--and then--

Thumb position trills also:

Thumb to 1, etc!.

**also**
There are more "modern" trills that are used in contemporary compositions and by bands like Apocalyptica, were you do the same thing as a normal trill except you don't push the string all the way down to the fingerboard and you get a very eerie, airy sound that is very uncommon and a bit unsettling!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

considering your other question was on how to tune your cello, i would say you are a beginner!.

i would hold off on the ornaments (what a trill is) and work on technique!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
