Question: Help!? First time at Warped tour!
I've been planning to attend warped for years now, but I never really got around to doing so!. It's going to be my first time at warped on aug!.17 in los angeles and I'm wondering if anyone can give me a heads up of what to expect, what to wear, what to bring, etc!.

I went to my first Warped on August 2nd!.
-I bought a 1 liter bottle of water before I went, I had to take the cap off at the gate, but if you put it in your bag and put and hide it they might not find it!. I brought in a Gatorade for Gabe (in Cobra Starship) and I didn't get caught with that!.
-Wear shorts and a lightweight shirt!. If you're going to crowd surf or mosh, lol don't wear a bikini top!. Someone was wearing one when they were crowd surfing and it got unhooked in back!. also, wear good shoes, because you will be standing for hours!. Don't wear flip flops because it will fall off, or someone will step on your feet!. also if someone finds it, most likely they will throw it really far because I saw a lot of shoes flying around :P
-Yeah, like other people said, food is expensive!. I got a pretzel for 5 bucks and a SLICE of pizza for 8 bucks!. Margaritas were 11 bucks, so I wouldn't be planning on drinking there!. (I couldn't drink anyways because I'm 14 lol)
-SUNGLASSES!. You'll need them!. If you don't have any, you can buy some there!. There's tons and tons of them that you can buy there!.
-At one of the Vans tents, they were selling shirts for 10 bucks and you got a free hat!. And I love my hat =D And most bands sell their shirts for $20!. There's also cheap CDs there!. 5-10 bucks!.
-Be prepared for crowdsurfers!. The crowdsurfers were absolutely insane when I went to see Angels & Airwaves!. I couldn't even enjoy the show really!. So you have to watch out for them, I'd look behind you about every 20 seconds or so (yeah that sounds pathetic!.!.!.) but or else they will fall on top of you!. also, try your hardest to not fall down because if you do, you could get trampled :P
-Sunscreen is also important, I got a little sunburn on my face!.
-I would bring a small backpack, incase you were to buy a water bottle, or a shirt, or anything else, you could just put it in there!. You will probably end up getting a plastic bag if you buy something from Vans though!.
-If you're planning to see Cobra Starship, they were the first band to play and I got there late and missed half of their set!. As in they started at 11:30!.
-Traffic is CRAZY getting into the venue!. It took me a half hour after I got off the express way to get into the park!.!.!. it was just a really long line of cars pretty much!.
-Put your cell phone on vibrate because you won't be able to hear it otherwise!.
-Even if you don't want to spend money on food, I'd still buy something so you don't pass out!. I saw people passing out at 12:30, that's an hour and a half after it started!. So don't ruin your day by passing out!.

don't wear a skirt or anything that might roll up if you go crowd surfing or the crowd picks you up

and money!. you'll want to buy either souvenirs or food!.
don't load yourself down with a lot of stuff you're not going to need- in the heat, it gets real heavy real fast
sunscreen would be good to have!.
for clothes!.!.!.wear whatever's comfortable for you that you can wear in hot weather without heatstroke!. don't forget your comfy shoes, cuz you'll be walking around all day!

its gona be outside, so dress in shorts and like, a tank or something!.
brings loads of cash, considering the merch they sell there is die hard awesome!.

I've been to Warped Tour before twice, but It's not my kind of thing, it's not heavy metal or anything like that!. I'm more of an Ozz-Fest X-Fest, Dimmu Borgir fan!. More go there for the extreme sports and stuff!. There are occasions where people will get into mosh's and it's a good idea to back the hell out of them when you see one!. Just people will start to form a circle arround the people and you can just watch!. If you're in front, it's a good idea to get behind someone bigger if you're little!. They slam up against the people in the front rows often so it's possible to get a broken nose, and that's an easy way to end your fun quick!. Don't wear anything really heavy, people have been rushed out before because of heat exhaustion, and that's another way to end your fun quickly!. Wear a t-shirt, and tighten up your shoes so they don't fall or fly off!. If they get lost in a crowd they could get lost permanently!. If you're going to crowd surf take everything out of your pockets and hand them to someone you can trust or put them in a sealable pocket so they don't fall out, make sure your shoes are on TIGHT so no jackass will rip it off an throw them (past experience) and don't wear hats, they'll rip those off and throw them too!. If you have necklaces, don't take them!. If you have earrings, it's a good idea if they're loose earrings you don't take them!. If you have gauges that's fine!. If you're going to take pot, put it in your bra or socks or underwear so they won't find it at the gate!. Pre-roll your pot so nobody will smack it out of your hand while you're rollin it!. If you're planning on anything like that, make sure the security guards aren't near you when you light up!. If you're planning on snackin a lot bring a lot of money, they food there is overpriced as is everything at most events!. Take water for the line, there's going to be a wait, and it's best not to get dehydrated or tired from the heat before you get in there!. It's going to be hotter because people are going to be packed together in a tight space!. The body heat will make you go "what the F#CK!!?!!?!" a lot!. Someone may be tempted to grab you in a way you don't like, so don't hesitate to f#ck them up!. Don't take chains if you wear tripp pants, take them off before you go in!. If you have anything hanging off your clothes that can get snagged, take it off!. Don't take weapons, that's just idiotic!. There was a year I remember that they started what they call a "WoD" or Wall of Death!. If you're little and they start splitting the crowd into two, get the hell out of there!. People have died in those before and they won't hesitate to knock your *** down so you'll get trampled by hundreds of people!. I don't remember them ever starting a Circle Pit, which is just a huge pit that people run arround in and slam eachother arround a little bit!. Those are usually less dangerous unless someone trips you while you're running but people are nice, they most likely will help you up!. Yet again, if you think you're not up for a lot of running and you don't want to get that tired easily just stay out of it!. Just enjoy the bands and the extreme sports!. It's always a good time, so have fun!. Don't let little crap people pull there bother you, because in the end it'll just end out to be a good story to tell!.
