What is a good guitar for rhthym guitar?!

Question: What is a good guitar for rhthym guitar!?
My friend has started learning guitar and wants to join my band as a rhythm guitarist!. He just doesn't know what guitar would be good for rhythm!. He wants to get like an Ibanez super strat because of the 'buckers, but what would be a good rhythm guitar!? He also wants a really heavy-sounding guitar!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Super strats are usually used for lead guitar, but they can be used for rythym as well!. If you want a heavy sounding guitar you will have to have humbuckers!. You could also check out a Epiphone Les Paul, or a Epiphone SG!. If he wants a super strat, then an Ibanez would be a good choice, if you into super strats, check out Charvel guitars, Kramer guitars (though some Kramers are made of plywood, which isn't good), you can also use a Squire or Fender strat if it has a humbucker and it should be heavy enough (Motley Crue and Iron Maiden use Fender strats, and their sound is heavy enough, but you have to have a humbucker pickup in order to get the heavy sound)

Hope that helps!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

There is no specific guitar for ryhtme, what ever guitar feels good to you!.A tip when you buy the guitar mention that there is another store that has the guitar!.They will down the price because they wanna sell it!.My guitar was 750 and they brought it all the way down to 675!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There are no guitars made specifically for playing rythm or lead!. I reccomend agaisnt the Ibanez personally, I see alot of rythm guitarists using SGs these days for some reason, I'm not sure why since htey play great leads!. I know Izzy Stradlin and Malcolm Young both use hollow bodies alot in their rythm playing!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
