As far as I'm concerned (and based on what I've read) Freddie Mercury was a bi-sexual!. With that being said, what would it matter if one or more of the songs were written for a man!?
I'm a fan of Rufus Wainwright and he is openly gay and his music speaks of men!. But, he's a fantastic singer/songwriter/musician and I believe love songs are universal, regardless of spoken gender!.
Everyone recognizes that Freddie Mercury was both gay and straight, but that was his life and his choice!. Why scrutinize his music to find "homosexual undertones"!? Suppose "We Are The Champions" is about homosexuality!. Big deal!? Should we not sing along with it if we're straight!?
