Where (what city) in Texas!? This place is HUGE! If you're going to be going to visit New Mexico also, my assumption is that you're visiting West Texas, which I don't know too much about!. (New Mexico and that end of Texas are close to 800 miles away from Houston, where I live!.) But, like I said, if you know which city here, I can give you a better idea!.
If you are going to Jersey, it's worth it to try to take a side trip to New York City!. (They're right next to each other, especially if you'll be in North Jersey - like Newark, Hoboken, or Jersey City, etc)!. The pizza in NYC alone is worth the trip, but there really are a million-billion other things to do and see there!. If you'll be in South Jersey, try to visit Philly!. also, you can try to see Atlantic City either way!.
EDIT: Yeah, El Paso is just on the other side of the state line from Las Cruces, New Mexico!. They're both college towns, so I'm sure you'll be able to find something low key to do!. You'll also be just on the other side of the border from Ciudad Juarez in Mexico!. Since you'll already have your passport, see if your family feels like spending a day in Mexico!. The line to get back into the States can be a beast, though!. In Dallas, go check out Six Flags and Wet & Wild!. (If amusement parks are your kinda thing!.) I don't know too much about hip-hop spots there, but most cities in the States will advertise them on the radio if you tune in to the right station!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
